Is there a tax break for contributions I make to College Savings Plans of Maryland

If you contribute to Maryland's Prepaid College Trust, Maryland College Investment Plan or the Maryland Broker-dealer College Investment Plan, you are eligible for a subtraction from income. You may claim a Maryland-only subtraction modification of up to $2,500 per taxpayer per beneficiary. If you have contributed more than $2,500 during the taxable year, the excess may be carried over for up to 10 succeeding tax years until fully claimed.
