Requirements for Using iFile

You can use iFile if you are filing short Form 503, long Form 502 and most other Maryland tax forms.

You are not eligible to use iFile if you are filing Form 500CR or Form 515.

Before you get started using iFile, make sure you have the following information and computer system setup:

Tax information

  • Completed federal return - you will need information from your federal return to complete your Maryland return.
  • W-2, W-2G, 1099-R and 1099-G forms.

System requirements

  • Netscape Navigator 4.00 or Microsoft Explorer 4.0 (or better) - set the display font to default and set your browser language to default so JavaScript and cookies are enabled.
  • Adobe Acrobat 4.0 (or better)
  • Printer
