Claiming the EIC

To claim Maryland's earned income credit, start with your Federal return. Find the Federal earned income credit you claimed on line 63 of Federal Form 1040 or line 41 of Federal Form 1040A. Enter one-half of that amount on line 25 of Maryland Form 502 or line 7a of Form 503.
